Isle of Palms rental booking tips:
How to get the best value:
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summer is high season in the Isle of Palms area. Reserve your Isle of Palms rental property in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Isle of Palms vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Isle of Palms visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Advice for a smooth stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. message the property manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
