With 4 BR/4 BR The Laurel House sleeps 10 Guests and offers an idyllic backdrop for an island escape. Appreciate coffee overlooking the live oaks in the morning and savor a dip in your private pool before collecting sea shells on the beach.

Only 5 mins. from the oceanside Wild Dunes Links and 12 mins. from the excitement downtown Charleston has to offer, the Laurel House provides an striking mix of luxury, location, and luxury.

NOTE: The Laurel House is a FAMILY FRIENDLY House and events and/or events are stringently prohibited. Every property in our portfolio is designed to host only vacation guests, and guests of Luxury Simplified Retreats are expected to abide by the rules and NOISE ORDINANCE enforced by the City of Isle of Palms. Those that violate the terms of occupancy, host events, and/or events will result in immediate loss of use. The Laurel House does not allow family pets. No exceptions. The Laurel House is a NO SMOKING property. No exceptions.

Access
Your Concierge will meet you at the home upon your arrival to check you in. Should our schedules not line up, your Concierge will walk you through how to get into the property. If you have any questions about directions or access to the property, your concierge will be ready and waiting to assist you by phone. There is room for five (5) cars at the home.

Interaction
Upon arrival, after the established 4PM check-in time, you may enter and exit the rental at your leisure. Your Concierge will meet you at the property upon check-in and provide valuable information about the home. Should an in-person meeting not work out, your Concierge will provide you with all the instructions you will need. We are here to make the check-in process a seamless one!

Our concierge team is committed to delivering exceptional service, impeccable cleanliness and all the amenities of your everyday home. With each stay you will appreciate high thread count linens, spa quality towels, hair dryer, ironing board, washer and dryer, standard coffee maker and Keurig, kitchen cookware and silverware, shower toiletries and soaps, additional linens and towels, air conditioning, cable, and wireless internet, and more. With our concierge services you can choose to have our team handle all the details of your trip. From stocking your refrigerator to reserving beach equipment, there isn't much our Concierge team can't help you with during your stay. And should you need any recommendations, it would be our enjoyment to provide suggestions for eateries, make reservations, organize activities, and answer any questions.

We offer the option to purchase trip insurance through Rental Guardian. We highly recommend adding trip insurance to your reservation, especially if you are traveling during hurricane season (June-November).

At the time of booking, we require a payment of 50% of your total rental amount. The remainder of your balance will be due 30 days prior to your check-in date and will be automatically charged to the card we have on file. If you are booking within 30 days of your expected arrival date, the full payment is due at the time of booking.

The City of Isle of Palms has a noise ordinance starting at 10PM that applies to private residences. Please be mindful of your neighbors. Noise complaints can result in fines and rental termination.

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • Summer time is high season in the Isle of Palms area. To get the best vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Isle of Palms vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.

Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your contract.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
