Tips to get the perfect Isle of Palms vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Booking your Isle of Palms vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
- The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Isle of Palms area travel guides which include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Isle of Palms visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. 211 Seascape by AvantStay
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. If not, contact the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's an individual Isle of Palms attraction you are enamored with, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
Some things to know before you go:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
