How to find the best vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Isle of Palms. To get the best vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Isle of Palms restaurants and activities.
- In the Isle of Palms area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Isle of Palms visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain deals for nearby shops and restaurants.
Planning, picking, and booking your prefect Isle of Palms rental home:
- First, have your family decide on vacation dates and a spending budget.
- 5BR Ranch w\/ Firepit + Patio has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a specific Isle of Palms beach you long to visit, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a great stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the host immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your life at home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to compel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
