How to find the best rental home experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- Summer months are high season in the Isle of Palms area. Booking your Isle of Palms vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Isle of Palms vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies supply Isle of Palms area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Isle of Palms area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the best rental in Isle of Palms:
- Choose a group leader, select your dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Oceanfront 3BR, 3BTH, 2nd Floor, Beach Front IOP has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. Otherwise, email the host before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your group.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips to have a great stay:
- Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
