Strategies to get the best Isle of Palms rental experience:
Getting the best value:
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- In the Isle of Palms area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Isle of Palms area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Isle of Palms visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and choosing your Isle of Palms rental home:
- First, have your family agree to date ranges and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Cute Family Beach Home in Wild Dunes Resort; Close to the Beach w\/Porch Swing & Community Pool! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Isle of Palms rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine which bed configuration is best for your family.
- If there's an individual Isle of Palms destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or might be applied to your invoice.
More tips for your visit:
- Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. text the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
