Tips and Tricks to get the best Isle of Palms vacation rental experience:
When to go & When to book:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Isle of Palms. Book your Isle of Palms vacation in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Isle of Palms area travel guides which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the best vacation home in Isle of Palms:
- To start, have your family choose trip dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Stunning Beach House, Fully Renovated, Pool, Theater Room, Steps to Beach -3 46th Avenue has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- If there's an individual Isle of Palms attraction you crave, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
