Rental home booking tips:
Get the best rental value:
- Summer is high season in Isle of Palms. Booking in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Isle of Palms vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Isle of Palms visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Choosing the perfect rental in the Isle of Palms area:
- Choose vacation dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. GORGEOUS Ocean View Seagrove Villa- Right Next to Resort Center! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Isle of Palms rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is suitable for your vacation family.
- Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great ratings to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
