Tips for getting the perfect Isle of Palms vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- To find the best value, shift your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Isle of Palms vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local Isle of Palms visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain money saving offers on local tours and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking your prefectrental:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. ????Oceanfront! 2204 Palm~ Newly renovated, elevator, pool, hot tub has 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
