Our top Isle of Palms vacation rental booking tips:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- Summer months are high season in Isle of Palms. To find the best value, consider changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Isle of Palms vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Isle of Palms area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Isle of Palms visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Start by having your group choose vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Second row back from the beach, cornhole court, putting green, private pool! - 2307 Palm has 9 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you book the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a certain Isle of Palms attraction you long to visit, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
