Tips and Tricks to get the optimal vacation rental experience:

When to book a Isle of Palms rental home & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many rental management companies supply Isle of Palms area visitor guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Isle of Palms visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and choose yourrental home:

  • Choose dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Second row back from the beach, cornhole court, putting green, private pool! - 2307 Palm has 9 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your group.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to propel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
